“…I need to play just to get stuff off my mind,” Tiffany, 10 years old.
“…my safe place is here at camp,” Josue, 7 years old.
“They are always doing things to make me a good person,” Tylin, 9 years old.

Dear Friend of Children and the Arts,

These are just a few of the many words of encouragement and feedback we received over the past three years from the children that have been to our free dance camps in New Orleans and North Philadelphia.

Thanks to your commitment, we were able to increase programming in New Orleans, despite the poor economic climate. The combination of your generosity, and our internal prudence and resourcefulness, enabled us to reach more children in 2009 than ever before. Thank you!

In light of these programming successes, we have tremendous needs. In 2010, we hope to provide six camps over three weeks in New Orleans, as well as Spring, Summer and Winter break camps in North Philadelphia. We also have made goals of expansion to Camden and Chester in 2010. These programs are vital, as studies show that exposure to and participation in the arts result in heightened academic achievement and greater life successes for children of all backgrounds. We are also adding a winter performance season at the Painted Bride in February! Be looking for your Save the Date for a Mardi Gras Masquerade Ball following the final performance.

Please consider making a generous year-end gift to Indigenous Pitch Dance Collective, Inc. to ensure these opportunities continue. Consider giving $30 for our 3 years of service. A gift of $50 will sponsor a child for one week of camp in Philadelphia or $150 will sponsor a child for one week in New Orleans. Gifts of $250 or even $500 will have a significant impact. We are grateful for any amount. Please make checks payable to: Indigenous Pitch Dance Collective, Inc., or IPDC, Inc., (Tax ID # 261273152) and mail to 10 E. Athens Ave. Suite 204 Ardmore, PA 19003. You can also donate online at indigenouspitch.org.

There is nothing like the joy of children who experience dance, visual and literary arts. Indigenous Pitch Dance Collective makes this unique education possible with your support. Please help us continue opening hearts, inspiring minds, and igniting imaginations by making a generous gift today.

Thank you for your support of children and the arts. You are an important part of Indigenous Pitch Dance Collective, Inc.

Gratefully,
Lisa Welsh Nicole LaBonde
Founder, Artistic Director and President, Board of Advisors Executive Director

P.S. Your gift – large or small - is deeply appreciated and will help more children experience the healing power of the arts. Thank you.
